Abi Rowberry is a remarkable young songwriter, known for her precocious talent and unwavering work ethic. Born and raised in a small town, Abi discovered her love for music at a very early age. With a passion for storytelling and a knack for melodies, she began penning her own songs as she entered her teenage years.

Despite her tender age, Abi's songwriting abilities quickly caught the attention of those around her. Her lyrics were introspective, wise beyond her years, and carried a depth of emotion that resonated with listeners. Whether it was heartbreak, self-discovery, or the complexities of human relationships, Abi's words captured the essence of the human experience in a way that was both relatable and profound.

What set Abi apart was not only her natural talent but also her tireless work ethic. She dedicated countless hours to honing her craft, immersing herself in the world of music. Late nights were spent refining melodies, experimenting with chord progressions, and exploring different genres to expand her musical horizons.

Recognising the importance of collaboration, Abi sought out opportunities to work with other musicians and industry professionals. She attended songwriting workshops, connected with producers, and collaborated with established artists, always eager to learn and grow as a songwriter. Her humility and willingness to absorb feedback from experienced mentors played a significant role in her continuous development.

Abi's hard work and dedication began to pay off when she started receiving recognition for her talent. Her songs started to gain attention offline & online, drawing in a growing fanbase that appreciated her lyrical depth and raw vulnerability.

Abi was inspired to pick up the guitar in lockdown by the Dunwells two talented brothers from Leeds, she saw them just before lockdown supporting Scouting for Girls. She was lucky enough to support the Dunwells when they played The Temperance, Leamington Spa in November 2022.

She enjoys the local folk seen and has played at Leamington, Warwick, Banbury, Lighthorne, Coventry, Long Itchington and Rugby Folk Clubs. She has recently discovered a love of Blues Music especially Dom Martin too.

As well as her love of music Abi is attending Warwickshire College taking UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Fashion and Clothing. She has learnt how to print and design fabric, pattern cutting and designed and made sports wear and a beautiful William Morris modern take on a Arts and Crafts period dress. She is looking forward to what next year at college has to inspire.
Abi would love to play Glastonbury one day, learn to Morris Dance and create vintage inspired clothing.

As her reputation spread, she began receiving offers to perform at local venues, opening for established acts [some of which have been heroes of hers] and showcasing her own Indie/Folk material along with covers of 60’s music to modern day
Despite her rising success, Abi remains grounded and focused on her art. She understands that being a songwriter is a lifelong journey, and she constantly pushes herself to evolve creatively. Her dedication to her craft is an inspiration to fellow aspiring songwriters and serves as a reminder that age should never be a barrier to pursuing one's dreams.

Abi has been very lucky to be able to join the Magic Teapot crew at several festivals including The Magic Teapot Gathering, Bearded Theory Festival and ABR Festival.
The Magic Teapot is a an acoustic-only venue inside a festival, a welcoming place for people to gather around the central firepit, that provides the source for the tea and coffee served, whilst the lively crew provide music and lead singalongs and jams.
